METAL PANIC – Marcello Maloberti at PAC
““At PAC, the space becomes a device for discovering the artworks, inviting interaction and creating a ground for active nostalgia: contemplation and reaction expressed through free movement within the space.”
Alessandro Scandurra
The layout, designed by Scandurra Studio, enhances the PAC’s architecture, returning it to the city with the atmosphere of a contemporary, ever-evolving construction site. Inside, the existing potential of the space is expressed through carefully stripped-down environments where the artwork becomes the only visible and isolated element, revered in its sacredness.
Silence takes shape as a pervasive void, inviting interaction and offering a space for active nostalgia—contemplation and reaction expressed through free movement.
Scandurra Studio’s design embraces this vision, transforming the space into a device—a tool for discovery. Visitors are invited to engage with the installation, uncovering its meanings as they move through the exhibition.
The exhibition design by Scandurra Studio was created in collaboration with in-visible lab, with contributions from 3F Filippi for lighting design and Deerns Italia for MEP engineering. It will be on available until February 9, 2025.
METAL PANIC is promoted by Comune di Milano – Department of Culture and produced by PAC and Silvana Editoriale, made possible thanks to Tods, with the support of LCA Studio Legale, Vulcano Agency, and sponsored by Istituto Gentili and technical sponsor Fondazione Henraux.
