Milano Città Aperta 2030
“A sustainable city, an equitable city, a connected city, and a beautiful city”- these are the four concepts guiding Milan’s new Urban Development Plan. The shared goal is to build an urban reality that aligns with these principles, making the city increasingly accessible and responsive to the needs of its citizens.
In addition to these qualities, for Scandurra Studio, it is essential for the city to be open, tuned in with a necessity. As Alessandro Scandurra stated in an interview with *La Repubblica*, “We must not focus solely on percentages of built spaces and green areas, but also on the quality of the spaces we create.” The outlook for the coming years envisions a Milan that is more homogeneous, sustainable, and inclusive. This is why professionals in the building and architectural sectors are proposing new approaches that can contribute to building a better city. Alessandro Scandurra highlights the lack of a common approach “that defines what open space is and, consequently, how we want to build to create a public city.”
“Città aperta” is a goal, an meaning that we pursue in every project.
